Sharon "Sissy" McDonald Springer, 47, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood. Sissy was born Dec. 15, 1966, in Fort Worth to Charles Ray and Linda Charlene McDonald on Linda's birthday. Sharon was the mother of Nicholas, who was the brightest light of her life. She was a certified surgical technician and registered nurse. She was also a case manager to adult services and loved each of her clients dearly as if they were her own. She always loved music and anything that made her laugh, even at her own expense. She was gifted with a sense of style and a flare all her own yet classic and traditional. She had a smile and laugh that made you smile and laugh and a heart so warm and loving. She was a caregiver even though, due to her health, she required care. Strong and independent until the end. Her mom, sister, niece and son were the foundation of her life. The strength of the bond among her, her mom and her sister, Jodi, was unbreakable. Survivors: Her mom, Linda Patrick; dad, Charles Ray McDonald and his wife, Mary; son, Nicholas Springer; sister and best friend, Jodi Moss and her husband, Tom, and their daughter, Emma; Tommy and Susie Machen, Lyn and Jyoti Machen and sons, Ethan and Evan; great-aunt, Olivia Ryan; cousins, Julie Ryan, Melissa and Jay McSpadden; and so many other family members and friends who love her.
