Revolutionary War Army Officer. enlisted in the Continental Army on March 14,1777 at the age of fifteen and served as a matross (artillery gunner) in Captain Drury Ragsdale's Company of Artillery assigned to the state of Virginia. Originally buried in the Old Presbyterian Cemetery in Georgetown (now a part of Washington D.C.), he was reinterred at Arlington on May 12,1892. He is one of eleven Revolutionary War Veterans reinterred at Arlington.
