Born Feb. 17, 1922, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Charles Benjamin Deickman Sr. and Irene Baker Deickman. He was the husband of Ida Ruth Deickman.
He was a retired bread salesman for Schmidt Baking Co. He served in the Navy during World War II and was a member of Palestine Lodge 189 AF & AM, Catonsville.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters and sons-in-law Charlotte and Jack Ellard of Sykesville, and Virginia and Albert Barthlow of Hampstead; sister Shirley Marr of Catonsville; brother and sister-in-law Earl and Lillian Deickman of Deltona, Fla.; grandchildren Scott, Todd and Dawn; and great-grandchildren Stephanie, Samantha, Brandon, Zachary and Hunter.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today, at Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield, with Chaplain David Bare of Carroll Hospice officiating. Interment will be in Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore.
