Ann Lorette Walton Bryant, 81, of Hampstead, died Friday, May 16, 2014, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Ann was born October 22, 1932 in Wilmington, NC, daughter of the late Joseph M. Walton and Lida Murray Walton. Her husband, Richard Bryant, preceded her in death. Mrs. Bryant was a very quiet and reserved person. She loved the outdoors, gardening, and cooking. Her home and family were her life. She is survived by three children, daughters, Adrianne Smith (Timmy) and Lenora Flick, both of Hampstead, and son, Richard J. Bryant, III of Wilmington; two grandchildren, Nicole Flick and Amanda Flick; two sisters, Mary McDonald of Florida and Dorothy Sanderson of California; and a brother, Lewis Walton of Wilmington. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Monday, May 19, 2014, at Andrews Hampstead Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 3pm Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at Andrews Hampstead Chapel with Rev. Scot Painter officiating. Interment will follow in Sea Lawn Memorial Park. Published in the Wilmington Star-News on May 18, 2014.
