Charlene Morrow Stewart, age 85, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012, at Brian Center of Viewmont. Born October 28, 1927, in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Richard Clyde Morrow and Ethel Beam Morrow. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Claremont. Charlene enjoyed playing piano and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charlie Vernon Stewart; son-in-law, Ronnie Tallant; grandson, Billy Howard Tallant; sister, Margaret Morrow Wooten; brothers, Richard G. Morrow and Murphy Morrow

Survivors include daughters, Vickie Stewart Armstrong and husband, Donnie, of Conover, Patricia Stewart Tallant of Conover; grandchildren, Keith Alan Black and wife, Jennifer, Amanda Gail Tallant; great-grandchildren, Jackson Black and Nora Black.

A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church with Rev. Craig Schultz and Rev. Eric Hollar officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
