She was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2529 auxiliary, Sandusky Eagles, Aerie #444, and the Amvets Post 17, auxiliary.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Mae (William R.) Thompson, Mentor, OH; son, Bernard Lewis Steible, Jr., Sandusky; several grandchildren; sisters, Juanita Duncan, Doris Gartner, and Lou Knerr; brothers, Bob, Dennis, John, Richard and Charles; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lanzie Boyer; parents, Columbus and Enos (Collins) Gillman; son, Joseph Michael Steible; sisters, Gladys Burgura and Wanda Bruce.
Friends may call on Thursday, March 6, 2014, from 3-5 and 7-9 P.M. in the Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 A.M. in the funeral home, with Larry Fearing, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
