Richard Lawrence Coles 76, of Robertson County passed away Friday, May 20, 2011 at Ridgetop Haven Nursing Home in Ridgetop, TN after an extended illness. He was born in Nashville, TN to Van Henry Coles and Blanche Chilton Coles on May 1, 1935. Mr. Coles was preceded in death by his parents. He was a Master Printing Press Operator at Baird Ward Printing Company. He loved old movies, traveling and music by Dean Martin. He is survived by children, Richard Lawrence Coles, Jr. of Antioch, TN, Anthony Neil (Barbara) Coles of Tullahoma, TN, Vann Douglas Coles of Mt. Juliet, TN, Susan (Jim) Stringfield of Smyrna, TN and Carolyn Ann Martz of Nolensville, TN; brother, Van (Margaret) Coles Jr. of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Jaime Fischer, James Stringfield, III, Lauren Coles, Christopher Coles, Amy Miller, Michael Martz, Shane Coles, & Landon Coles; and 2 great grandchildren on the way. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 23, 2011 from 11 am to 12 pm with graveside services following the visitation at 12:30 pm at Elmwood Cemetery with Pastor Todd Kelly officiating. Family will serve as pallbearers.
