Laura Renee McGee, 49, of Big Spring died Saturday, March 1, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Friday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Earnest Wilson, Rev. Floyd Green, and Rev. William Vaughn officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.
She was born October 14, 1964, in Big Spring. She attended Big Spring schools and was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. She worked a number of years at both Wal-Mart and Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center. Renee loved her family and instilled hard work in them. She considered the staff at Wal-Mart and the staff and patients at Parkview to be her second family. She was a member of Baker's Chapel, A.M.E. Church.
She is survived by her husband: Bobby McGee of Big Spring; two daughters: LeAndra Cross and her husband K. C. of Arlington and LaKenya Wrightsil and her fiancé Everett Bills, II of Nashville; one son: Keith O'Brian McGee of Abilene; two grandsons: Kavon Cross and Khmani Cross, both of Arlington; her mother: Anna Green of Big Spring; her father: Nathaniel Green of Big Spring; one brother: Anthony Smith (and Esther) of Big Spring; one sister: Tammi Wilson and her husband Earnest of Mesquite; two nephews: DeUntrey Parker and his wife Tiffeny of Mansfield and Delvin Wilson of Mesquite; one niece: LaCyndra Lee and her husband Wayne Lee, Jr. of Mesquite; and a host of other relatives.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Smith, Kenneth Moten, Chris Minter, Henry Roach, Richard Green, Carl Green, and DeVante Lloyd.
