After graduating, Steve joined the Navy where he served his country. Steve and Tina met in 1989 and moved to Elko in 1990, where they started their family. Steve worked as a heavy equipment mechanic for more than 30 years. His greatest joy was watching his children grow up and teaching them the hunting, fishing, and camping skills he knew.
He is survived by his mother, Lois Nolte; his wife, Tina Nolte; and his children, Leslie, Louis, and Nicholas Nolte and William Hensley; his brothers, Richard and Dennis Nolte; and his sisters, Candie Trent and LouAnn Smith.
Funeral services are scheduled Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at 11 a.m. at the LDS West Stake Center at 3001 N. Fifth St. Bishop Troy Olsen will officiate at the service. A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Burial will be in the Elko City Cemetery.
