The S.C. Gravett family, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Hunt, Mrs. Lula Frail and daughter, Ruth and Mrs. I.W. Johnson and Harley Gravett went to Winterset Monday to attend the funeral of Alan Gravett, two-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gravett and grandson of Mrs. S.C. Gravett, northwest of Corning.
The little one died in a Des Moines hospital of spinal meningitis.
Funeral services were held in a funeral home in Winterset and burial was in the Quincy cemetery Adams County. The sad nature of the funeral was the fact that the mother with an eight-day-old baby was unable to attend the funeral.
