Andrew Jackson Lovell, 58, died Thursday, June 1, 1944 at his home in Holland. An injury received in California last November and pneumonia is said to have caused his death.
He was born in Bedford County, Tenn., December 11, 1885 and came to Holland at the age of 25. He was engaged in different businesses during his 33 years there, but had retired at the time of his death.
Funeral services were conducted at the Baptist Church in Holland Friday, June 2 at 3:30 p.m.
Mr. Lovell is survived by his wife, Pearline Mae Lovell; one son, Denzell Walter, somewhere in the South Pacific; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Harris and Mrs. Annie Mae Stinnett, both of Holland; two grandchildren, T.B. and James Edward Harris. Also three brothers, Bob Lovell of Little Rock, Thermon ware and Edward Ware of McRae, Ark., and one sister, Beulah Liles, also of McRae.
Pallbearers were Bill Richie, Perry Taylor, C.C. Adams, Robin Canada, O.B. Samford and A.R. Little.
Interment was at the Mount Zion Cemetery with German Undertaking Co. in charge.
