Haines City - Mr. Melvin Daniel, age 84, went to be with the Lord on February 27, 2014, due to heart failure. Born April 20, 1929, in Crenshaw County, AL., he came to Florida in 1974. He was a retired SMSGT in the Air Force. He was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He was also a Mason and a Shriner. Mr. Daniel is survived by his sons Larry Daniel, Cumming, GA., Gary Daniel (Cindy), Winter Haven; daughters Gail McAninch, Hollister, MO. Dawn Adams, Winter Haven, Elizabeth Mullins, Capron, VA. Terry Saylor(Denver), Haines City; 9 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 5, 2014, from 9 - 10 AM, followed by a service at 10 AM at Steele's Family Funeral Services, Winter Haven. Burial will take place at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. at 1:30 PM.
