James 'Lenord' Attkisson was born May 3, 1903 in Grand saline TX. The 6th of 9 children born to Annie Gordie Carroll Attkisson and John D. Attkisson. He is on the VanZandt county WW II vets and was married to Josephene LeFevbre Attkisson. Not sure if they were divorced or she passed away but in 1981 he married his 2 wife Violet S. Ballantyne Thomas, they were married till he passed away in 1987. They resided in Sierra Vista Arizona at the time of his death. He had adoted 2 sons with his 1st wife Josephine. 1) John Dee Attkisson 2) James R. Attkisson
