He was born on Friday, August 28, 1931, in Blackford County, IN. He married Kathryn Janet (Waltz) Waltz Rogers on Sunday, February 28, 1954 in the Zion Lutheran Church in Hartford City, IN.
Mr. Rogers was a longtime Wells & Blackford County Dairy Farmer before moving to Warren. He graduated in 1949 from Montpelier High School and had attended Purdue University. He had been a Wells County Commissioner for 4 years, served as the Wells County Farm Bureau President, served on the Wells County Health Board, the Wells County Zoning Board and was a member of the Gideon's and the Zion Lutheran Church in Hartford City. Mr. Rogers had honorably served in the US Army 1st Cavalry Division. Military graveside rites will be conducted by the US Army. Jesse and his wife had wintered in Mesa, Arizona since 2005.
Survivors include: Wife - Kathryn Janet (Waltz) Rogers, Warren, IN., Daughter - Karen Sue (Husband, Guy) Studebaker, Rossville, IN., Daughter - Louise Annette (Husband, Gregory) Reynolds, Monroe, IN., Daughter - Loretta Kay McCormick, Kokomo, IN., Daughter - Marlene Jo (Husband, Jay) Redding, Fort Wayne, IN., 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his: Father - Walter Oscar Rogers, Mother - Opal Ethel (Schwarzkopf) Rogers and Two Brothers - David Paul Rogers and Merle Lloyd Rogers.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F Cemetery in Montpelier.
