Charlotte Mae Bodkin, 61, of Sugar Grove, died Sept 9, 1997 at her home. She was born Feb. 11, 1936 at Sugar Grove, a daughter of Nellie Puffenbarger Bodkin of Sugar Grove and the late Elmer Gay Bodkin. Ms. Bodkin attended Crummett's Run Church of the Brethren. In addition to her mother she is survived by two sisters, Lorena Hoover of Brandywine and Karen Simmons of Franklin; a brother, Elmer Lee Bodkin of Sugar Grove; and a number of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, Sept. 13 at 11 a.m. in the Obaugh Funeral Home, McDowell, Va., by the Rev. Richard Boggs. Burial will be in Crummett's Run Church Cemetery.
