He was born Nov. 6, 1932, in Indianapolis. His parents were Harold C. Armstrong and Lois Clare (Tillison) Armstrong. He married Margie Louise Fitzgerald July 11, 1960, at Second Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Franklin. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Todd D. Armstrong and Troy D. Armstrong, both of Franklin; a brother, Neil Wayne Armstrong of Springfield, Mo.; and four grandchildred.
He was employed by Western Electric as a mold press operator for 26 years and for JFW Industries in Indianapolis for one year. He also was employed by Naval Avionics Center and Allison Division of General Motors.
The Rev. Dennis J. Patton will conduct a service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Vandiver-Tudor Funeral Home in Franklin. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where a Masonic memorial service will be conducted at 8 p.m. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
