Mrs. Rebecca Sterling, former resident of
Crisfield, died at the home of her son in
Church Hill, Md., where she had been residing,
on Sunday afternoon. She was 78 years of
age. Mrs. Sterling lived in this city for many
years and her death at this time came as a
sudden shock to her many friends in the
Community.
She is survived by two daughters. Mrs. L. D.
Disharoon, of Church Hill Md., and Mrs. John
Disharoon, of Delmar, Del., and three sons,
Alonzo Sterling and Elmer Sterling, of Church
Hill, and William Sterling, of Chester, Pa.
The body was brought to Crisfield and
remained at the Lawson Funeral Parlors, until
the time of the funeral services which were
held at Immanuel M. E. Church on Tuesday
afternoon conducted by the Rev. J. R. Bicking,
pastor.
Interment was in Crisfield cemetery.
