Robert Arthur DeVore, 68, of Tooele, Utah passed away on March 24, 2010 after a lengthy illness. He was born January 1, 1942 to Don and Elaine DeVore in Salt Lake County, Utah. After World War II, the family moved to Vailejo, California, and in 1950 they returned to Magna, Utah where Robert grew up. After graduating from Cyprus High School, Robert joined the United States Navy and served proudly during the 1960's. After the Navy he began working for Kennecott Copper and did so for 20 years. He then worked for Questar in their accounting department until his illness. Robert enjoyed his activities with the S.L.C. Jaycee's for many years. He was predeceased by parents; Don and Elaine DeVore and brother, Duane DeVore. Survived by sister, Charlene (Steve) Smith, Chandler, Arizona; and daughter Shelley (Troy) Timothy, Tooele, Utah; beloved grandchildren, aunts, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Mon., March 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery/Mortuary, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a remembrance be considered to Rocky Mountain Care and Hospice.
