Sarah Jean Dodson, age 57, of San Francisco, California passed away on January 10, 2014 with her family by her side.
Sarah was born in Manila Philippines to the late Alfredo Carigma and the late Ruth Matias on September 8, 1956. Sarah earned an Associate's Degree from City College of San Francisco and California State Certification in Cosmetology through her studies at Marinello Beauty School. On June 6, 1981, Sarah married Gary Anthony Dodson and they shared their lives together for 32 years.
Sarah Dodson was employed by the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) as an Operating Room Coordinator for 25 years before she retired due to her illnesses. Sarah always expressed what a joy it was working with her colleagues at UCSF and considered them as her second family.
Sarah loved to spend time with her family and having conversations with friends, was an avid fan of the Beatles and the Oakland Raiders, and had an appreciation for animals and Classic Cars.
Sarah survived by her husband Gary Anthony Dodson; son David Crisostomo; daughter Katherine Ruth Dodson; son in-law Aries Lebantino Dela Cruz; her five grandchildren Faith Vanessa Dela Cruz; Kyani Lynn Crisostomo; Irie Jaide Crisostomo; Maliyah Joi Crisostomo; Aliana Mila Crisostomo; sister Dorcas Ruth Constantino; brother Stephen Carigma; and dogs Zak, Tony, Puppy and the late King, Caine and Coby.
