David Abel
CUSTER, MT. ---- David Abel, 66, of Custer, past president of Yellowstone County Farm Bureau and the state BLM advisory board, died Friday of an apparent heart attack in Denver, CO.
Born in Pineview, he was a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Abel.
He married Marjorie Steele and they ranched south of Pineview.
Mr. Abel was active in area rodeos and thoroughbred horse racing.
He was a member of Billings Elks Lodge.
Survivors include the widow; a son, David J. of Custer; a sister, Revera Hiber of Palmer, Alaska; a brother, Stewart of Custer; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Smith's Downtown Chapel.
Burial will be in Sunset memorial Gardens, Billings, MT.
