Antoinette had great interest in golfing and sewing and was a wonderful hostess. Antoinette was a member of the University of Maryland Alumni Association and a life member of the Reserve Officers Association League (ROAL). She served several years as President of the Houston ROAL Club, served as Area Coordinator for the Middle Southern States Area, and several years as Department of Texas ROAL President. She was presented with the ROA Minuteman Award for her services to the military organization and her name is inscribed on the Minuteman Gold Wall Of Fame at the ROA Building in Washington, D. C.
She is survived by a loving family, Andrew, her husband of 67 years; four daughters, Anne Roy, married to Michael Roy, Ellen H. Hill, Nance H. Allen, and Margaret H. W. Brown; married to Lance Brown, two grandchildren, Rebecca Jean Hill and Catherine Elizabeth Wallace; and her sister, Barbara Contrada Parker and sisters-in-law Jerry Contrada-Roberts and Margaret Hobokan Menzaco.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from 6-7pm, Crowder Funeral Home, 111 E. Medical Center Blvd., Webster, 77598.
Funeral Mass: Thursday, March 6, 2014 at 10:30am, St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 15500 El Camino Real, Houston, 77062. Graveside service following at Houston National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Helping Hands Ministry.
