He is survived by his wife Hilry Sue Dykes of Bogalusa La, a son Russell Kevin Dykes of Bogalusa, a daughter Kimberly Bates of Bogalusa, brothers Lessie Dykes of Pine La, Harvey Dykes of Bogalusa, Lester Dykes of Franklinton, and Bert Dykes of Bogalusa, one granddaughter Amanda Dykes of Slidell La.
He was preceded in death by his parents Plessie and Velma Dykes, brothers George and Dent Dykes, a sister Azzie Temples.
Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Thursday Jan. 16, 2014 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and will continue Friday from 8 a.m. until time for service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Pierce Cemetery Sun La..
