Ervan "BaBa" Harris was the son of Robert and Ena T. Harris. He attended Plain Dealing Elementary in Louisiana and at the age of twelve he moved with his family to Kansas City, where he attended Cantral High School. He joined the US Army in 1973 and completed a tour in Germany. In 1976, he received an honorable discharge. He worked as a truck driver for Peterbilt, Pueblo Chemicals and the last fourteen years for Rent-A-Center. He loved his job and was everyone's human atlas as he knew any and every way to get any and everywhere. He enjoyed fishing and carpentry. Ervin Harris died at his home. He was 57 years old. He was preceded in death by his
mother, his paternal grandparents Louis and Rece Harris, and his maternal grandparents, Walter and Lula Tidwell. He is survived by his wife of thirty-four years, two sons, one daughter, four grandchildren, his father, three brothers, seven sisters and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service: February 24, 2014 at Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church.
