John Daniel Joslin age 90, of Knoxville, went to his heavenly home on Thursday February 25, 2021. He was a member of Broadway Baptist Church. He was an admired and respected businessman. He followed in his father’s footsteps as a merchant and continued his entrepreneurship throughout his life. He was devoted to his wife and family and was quick to offer a helping hand to anyone in need.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Charles Benjamin and Helen Ruth Greer Joslin, and sister, Betty Lasley.
He is survived by his loving wife Sandra Joslin, sons: Daniel C. (Barbara) Joslin, Benjamin A. Joslin, Dean A. Joslin, and John Isaac Joslin; daughters: Linda G. (Mike) Allen, and Jenny (Kenedy) Lemus; five grandchildren: Joshua A. (Amanda) Joslin, Alyson R. (Derek) Pratt, Melissa G. Allen, Nathan C. Joslin, and Kaitlyn Rose Lemus; five great-grandchildren: Kylee, Ansley, and Whitley Pratt, Isaac Joslin, and Calloway Joslin; Niece, Andra (Denis) Parker, nephew, Scott (Brenda) Lasley, and several cousins.
Family and friends will meet Tuesday March 2, 2021 at 2:45 pm at Greenwood Cemetery for a 3:00 pm graveside service officiated by Rev. Doug Harris. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital to help children with special needs and their families, being something John was very passionate for.
