Don C. Willis, Jr.

Don C. Willis, Jr. (92) passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 26, 2014. Don was a long time member of St. John's Catholic Church. He was born to Don Carlos Willis and Lula Clyde Wolfe in Santa Rosa County on February 16, 1922. He served in the Navy during World War II on the USS Washington and was a Survivor from the USS Drexler. After the war, he worked at NAS Pensacola for over 30 years.

Don was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Frances Carmela Faenzi Willis and his great granddaughter, Rylie Ann Mishoe. He is survived by his sisters Myrtle Luke and Ethel Henderson, and sister-in-law Carmela Faenzi Saul, his children, Donna Willis Lupetti, Don (Carol) Willis, Patty (Ken) Born, Paula Willis, Frances (Greg) Webb, and Dorothy (John) Kaufmann; and his grandchildren, Kenny Born III, Stephanie (Jimmy) Banton, Gregory Webb, Leslie (Jason) Mishoe, Justin and Kaleb Born, Jimmy and Katie Banton, Tyson and Colton Mishoe, nieces and nephews; Jerry (Carolyn) Henderson, Ruby Henderson, Joe (Lisa) Henderson, Diane (Robert) Brown, Brenda(Vance) Ericson, Gina (Ron) Eden, Billy Willis Jr., Walter, Jim, David, Patrick Saul, and his equally loved extended family Suzanne (Briggs) Diuguid, Kris Robarts and Dawn Edwards.

Visitation will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 10:30 am at St. John's Catholic Church with Mass beginning at 11:30 am. Graveside services will follow at Bayview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to: Wildlife Sanctuary of Northwest FL, 105 North "S" St., Pensacola, FL 32505
