Jan Davis Hicks, 58, of Marion, passed away on Friday, February 28, 2014 with her loving family by her side. A native of McDowell County, she was born on October 24, 1955 to Charlene Noblitt and the late Cleveland Cecil Davis. Jan was employed as a main cook in the food service department of The McDowell Hospital prior to her illness. She will be remembered as a loving and caring mother, daughter and sister.
Left to cherish Jan's memory, in addition to her mother, are two daughters, Olivia Flynn and husband Keith and Sarah Hicks, both of Marion; a sister, Robin Davis McElreath and husband Jimmy of Nebo; a brother, Grant Todd Davis of Marion; a niece, Dawn Evans and two nephews, Brock McPeters and Derick Davis.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Westmoreland Funeral Home with the Rev. James Walker officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm prior to the service. Interment will follow at McDowell Memorial Park.
