Maggie Beard, 84, of 700 Alhambra Ave., died yesterday at Clinton County Hospital. She had been ill one year.
Born Feb. 6, 1894, in Michigan Township, she was the daughter of Salem Augusta and Amanda Jane (Thompson) Paris. She was married June 16, 1916, to Dudley K. Beard. He died May 31, 1973
Mrs. Beard lived most of her life in the Beard community. She was a charter member of WSCS and a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Milo (Margie) Davis of Forest rt. 1, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) McCain of Michigantown rt. 1, and Josephine Davy of Frankfort; a sister Lucy Avery of Frankfort; eight grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Voss officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. tomorrow.
