Richard M. Atkinson, 73, of Batesville, died Sunday, May 3, 1987. He was born May 2, 1914 in Batesville, son of the late Frank and Blanche House Atkinson.
Mr. Atkinson was a retired school teacher and a member of the National Retired Teachers Association. Preceding him in death were a brother and a sister.
Rosary Devotions were given at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial was at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Assumption Catholic Church, Barnesville, with Fr. John Reardon as celebrant. Burial took place in Batesville Cemetery.
