Dan Emerson Brown TIMMONSVILLE- Dan Emerson Brown, 69, died in a peaceful setting on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. All Saints Episcopal Church, 1425 Cherokee Rd, Florence. Interment will follow at the National Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Born in Timmonsville, he was the son of the late Eugene and Marie Stickland Brown. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Air National Guard. He retired after 25 years. Surviving are his wife of 47 years Iris Kay Wininger Brown, Timmonsville; his son, Ryan(Lyndsay) Brown, Florence; daughter, Wendy (Kyle) Barnett, Mars Hill, NC; sister, Catherine (Don) Granger; two grandchildren, Emerson and Sebastian Barnett; his mother-in-law, Glee Wininger, Cheyenne, WY, brothers-in-law, Jack (Sue) and Bill (Mary) Wininger all of Cheyenne, WY, Richard (Peggy) Wininger, Florence; sisters-n-law, Vickie Albert and Susan Hermann, Cheyenne, WY.
