Allen was born to James and Ada Wallace Dulaney August 11, 1940 on the golf course in Winters, TX.
The family moved to White Settlement when he was 3 years old. Allen graduated from Brewer High School and then furthered his education with a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from the University of Texas, Arlington.
On August 1, 1969, Allen married Sharron Davis. She passed away April 10, 1994. He moved to Abilene in 1971 and retired after 44 years. Allen was a member and a Deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in Abilene.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharron Dulaney; his parents; a brother, James Dulaney; sisters, Edna Polk and Sarah Thompson.
Survivors include his son, Eddie Dulaney of Tye; daughter, Debbie West and husband, Jim of Clovis, NM; brother, Gregory Dulaney and wife, Jo Sue of Lindale, TX; grandchildren, Scott Dulaney of Houston, Aaron Dulaney of San Diego, CA, Tiffany Sterling of Abilene, Cheyanne Dulaney and Ben Dulaney both of San Antonio, Megan West and Bryce West both of Clovis, NM; and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3402 N. 1st, Abilene, TX 79603.
