Mary Catherine Johnston, 77, of Huntsville, passed away Wednesday night at Whitesburg Gardens from complications associated with Alzheimer's. Catherine was the daughter of Estill and Stella Brewer of Paint Rock and Ryland, AL. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and four brothers. Catherine worked for many years at the Old State National Bank, The Bank of Huntsville and Tuesday Morning.
Survivors include husband of 57 years, Lloyd G. Johnston; daughter, Lidia Johnston Zirkel (Ray) of Costa Rica; son, Donis Lloyd Johnston (Jenny) of Gulf Shores; granddaughters, Sarah Catherine Zirkel and Emma Gayle Zirkel of Costa Rica; step grandsons, A. J. Hadley (Becca) and Jonathon Hadley of Gulf Shores; and sister, Maxine Sweet (Conrad) of Beecher, IL.
Visitation will be from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. Saturday Laughlin Service Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery.
