WALTER HART OF CAMP POINT DIES
For Many Years He Was the Well Known Barber of the Adams County Town.
Camp Point, Dec. 23 -- Walter Hart, a well known barber of Camp Point, who has been ill for the last year suffering from a complication of diseases, died Monday morning at 9 o'clock at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Hart.
During the influenza epidemic last winter Mr. Hart was quite ill and had never regained his usual robust health. Several months ago cirrhosis of the liver developed. He has been a long and patient sufferer and was ever thoughtful and considerate of the mother who so lovingly and faithfully ministered unto him.
Since reaching manhood Mr. Hart has been associated with his father, James Hart, and his brother, George, in the barber business and he has passed his fifty years of life in the town of Camp Point.
He attended school t Maplewood and when quite young united with the M.E. Church and was baptized in the Christian church pool at the old church as it was the church home of his parents.
Walter never married and was always devoted to his mother who in turn lavished upon him a mother's devotion. He was always kindly disposed and was ever appreciative of a kindness shown him.
He will be missed by a large circle of friends who extend sympathy to the bereaved parents.
Walter Lee, son of James and Lucretia Hart, was born in Camp Point, May 18, 1869. Besides the parents, two brothers, Charles of Carthage, and George of Camp Point, survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the shop which is immediately under the rooms where the family reside and will be conducted by Rev. W. Conley Greer, a quartet composed of Mrs. Goldie Woodward, Mrs. William Grove, Jerome Hostetter and William Jones, will sing.
Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
