SAUK CITY - Mrs. Matias
Barbian, 85, Sauk City, who was born in 1883 at Roxbury and lived there most of her life, died Thursday night in the Sauk-Prairie Hospital. She was the former Magdalina Werla. Mrs. Barbian was a member of St. Norbert's Catholic Church, Roxbury. Surviving are her husband, to whom she was married in 1909; four sons, Frank, Lawrence, and Norbert, all of Route 2, Lodi, and Raymond, Sauk City; two daughters, Mrs. Nick Lamberty and Mrs. Philip Bannon, both of Route 1, Lodi; 23 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Zimmermann funeral home, Sauk City, from 2 p.m. Sunday until time of services. The parish rosary will be recited in the funeral home Sunday night at 8. Funeral rites will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home in Sauk City and at 10:30 at St. Norbert's Church, Roxbury. The Rev. L. W. Scheuring will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
