Mary was born March 10, 1947 in Detroit, the daughter of John Quinn and Eleanor Burton. She married Robert Benham on December 10, 1992. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Mary loved spending time with her loved ones whether it be playing cards, writing poems, or painting, which were a few of her favorite pastimes. Her family was always at the forefront of her mind. Twice she has received awards for her poetry; The International Poet of Merit Award and the International Who's Who in Poetry Award. She has also been published twice; yet she never touted these incredible accomplishments, but was always extremely humble.

Surviving are her husband, Robert of Fenton; three children, Roger Caswell of Fenton, Ruth (Ken) Christensen of GA, Michael (Katie) Caswell of GA; 18 grandchildren; four brothers, Johnny, Burt, Tim and Tom; four sisters, Beverley, Nettie, Penny and Pat. She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, John and Ruth Quinn; mother, Eleanor Burton; sister, Delberta; granddaughter, Kelsey Jo Caswell.

Friends may share an online tribute on the obituary page of www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. Her family will always remember her stories, jokes, hugs, and caring nature. She lived her life to the fullest and never regretted any of the things that happened in her life. She took everything that life handed her and used it for God's glory. May she always be remembered for all the joy she shared with every life that she touched.
