He was born January 21, 1943 in Fort Smith to the late Bud and Tootsie Wells.
He retired from Fort Chaffee after spending two years in Germany and one year in Korea. He was a member of Midland Heights United Methodist Church and a 1964 Graduate of Arkansas Tech University.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Ginger Wells Smith.
Graveside funeral service will be 10:30 Monday, March 3, 2014, at Forest Park Cemetery with Pastor Dan Williams officiating.
Interment will be at Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years Nancy, two sons Neville Wells and fiancée Rhonda Todd of Fort Smith and Jason Wells of Fort Smith, three grandchildren August, Britt and Paige, several great grandchildren, one brother Larry Wells of Fort Smith, one brother-in-law Bobby Newlon and his wife Marilyn of Claremore, OK and several nieces and nephews.
