He was born to Lawrence and Mattie Brown Rainer in Lamesa, Texas, on December 16, 1926. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Army. He was a retired truck driver, as well as manager of Truck Terminals for over 30 years. He was a Baptist and attended the First Baptist Church of De Queen. Mr. Rainer enjoyed yard work, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
He is survived by his wife of over 65 years of De Queen, two sons and daughters-in-law, a daughter of Stamford, Texas, four grandsons, three great-granddaughters, a sister of Plainview, Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Mr. Glenn Rainer, Sr. will be held Friday, February 28th from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M at Chandler Funeral Home, De Queen, and cremation will follow.
