Harry J. "Max" Huntsberry, 88, passed away Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, just hours after the 69th anniversary of the flag raising on Iwo Jima, an event which he eye-witnessed on Feb. 23, 1945 as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Celebration of life: 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Greenwood. Although a graduate of Louisiana College, Mr. Huntsberry was an avid TCU Horned Frog fan, was a member of the Frog Club, and hardly ever missed a TCU home football game. Furthermore, he was a member of both Travis Avenue and University Baptist churches in Fort Worth. In addition, he worked as a sales representative and was part owner of the Sloan Company of Fort Worth before his retirement. Harry was a longtime resident of Fort Worth and was living in Mesquite at his time of death. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 44 years, Charlsie Grace "Mimi." To their grandchildren and great- grandchildren, they were known and loved as Max and Mimi.
