Stella Ann McCune
November 5, 1921 - February 24, 2014
McCune, Stella Ann (Winter), 92, peacefully entered eternal life on Monday, February 24, 2014, surrounded by her daughters.
Stella was a retired employee of General Electric, an avid bowler and athlete and a world-traveler and a member of St. Martha Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Suzanna (McDowell) Winter; and three siblings, Charlie, Donald and Lorraine (Bratcher).
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughters, Mary Sue McCune, Carolyn Mayer (David) and Linda Moore (Howell); by her five grandsons Troy Martin, Kevin Martin (Stephanie), Jeremy Mayer (Cathy), Matthew Moore (Allyson) and Benjamin Moore (Dr. Tadd Roberts); and her six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Murrell Grammar, Mary Ann Schneider (Donald) and Jean Weidner; and numerous nieces and nephews, including her dedicated nephew, Richard Grammar.
Her funeral Mass will be held at noon, on Saturday, March 1st 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church; 1960 Bardstown Road, with entombment to follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Children's Hospital Foundation.
