Funeral services for J.H. "Tucker" Allen of Nebo will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena with Rev. Walter Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow at the Nebo Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Friends may call Tuesday, May 7, 2013 from 5pm to 9pm and from 8am on Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home.
Mr. Allen, 86, of Nebo, La. was born on December 31, 1926 in Jena to the union of Hugh H. and Lillie Amanda Sanders Allen and passed from this life on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at LaSalle General Hospital.
He was a Roustabout in the Oilfield and a Veteran of The United States Navy, Seaman First Class.
He is survived by his daughter, Lanea DeLoach of Magnolia, Ark; two sons, Joey Keith Allen and Tucker Lee Allen, both of Nebo, brothers, Wayne Allen of Jena, Glen Allen of Colfax and Jessie Allen of Shreveport; sisters, Margarett Chevallier of Jonesville and Lettie Windham of Jena; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joline M. Allen; brothers, Jim Dave, Ross, Don Allen and an infant brother; sisters, Nettie Smith, Audie Bradford, Ella Bradford, Lena Hudspeth and Marjorie Allen, grandsons,Tristan Wade Allen and Darrin Robertson.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Warwick, Bren Warwick, Gregg Allen, Ryan Nix, Trent DeLoach and Clifton Allen.
Honorary pallbearers will be brothers, Jessie, Wayne and Glen Allen.
