Carol Hoffman Conner, 72, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2014. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25 in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home with internment in Darlington Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Monday evening, February 24.

Mrs. Conner was born in Darlington County, the daughter of Barney E. and Addie Odom Hoffman. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Willie Hoffman. She attended Darlington County schools and graduated from St. John's High School in the class of 1959. She worked at Nytronics as a Production Leader, Union Carbide as a Production Supervisor and at Wal-Mart as a Customer Service Manager. A member of Greenwood Baptist Church, she was a volunteer in the church nursery.

Mrs. Conner is survived by her husband of 39 years, James G. Conner of the home, a brother, Wayne Hoffman of Lamar and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a grandson, Brian Grayson Conner (Leah) of Coward and two great-grandsons, Christopher Grayson Conner and Gerald Andrew Conner.
