Dustin J. SCHEFFLER Funeral Services were held Oct. 17 at the John J. Kaczor Funeral Home for Dustin J. SCHEFFLER, age 24, of Hamburg, who died Sunday, Oct. 15, 1995. Mr. SCHEFFLER was the son of Wayne E. Sr. and (*living parent, name deleted*), and brother to (*names deleted*). He is also survived by his grandmothers Edna (late Leonard) SCHEFFLER and Valeria (late John) SIM. A teacher at Indianola High School in DesMoines, Iowa, he was graduated from the University of Iowa, Buffalo State College, and Frontier High School in 1989. He was diagnosed has having a brain tumor five days following graduation from the University of Iowa with a master's degree in mathematics. He played hockey in his youth for District 5 Hockey, with the Hamburg Nike Base teams, the Frontier Falcons, the Seneca Nations, and the West Seneca Wings. Following a hockey injury at 15, he went on to coach hockey at area schools and received his Master Coaching Certificate from the USA Hockey Coaching Achievement Program in Colorado.
