Becky Kay Carter (nee Amberg) age 51, of Rubicon entered eternal life unexpectedly on Thursday, February 20, 2014.

Becky was born October 13, 1962 in Elroy, Wisconsin to Dale and Shirley Amberg (nee Zirk) and later adopted by Mildred Amberg. She was united in marriage to Richard Carter on June 16, 1984 at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Elroy, Wisconsin. After college she worked for CoCo's Restaurant in Milwaukee where she met her husband Rich; Eder Flag Company, Oak Creek; Carolina Freight Carriers, Milwaukee; Interstate Forging, Milwaukee; Wacker Corporation, Menomonee Falls; Sycamore Tree Christian Child Care, Hartford; API Heath Care, Hartford; and Ralph's Towing, Slinger/Ackerville. Becky was a scout leader for the Cub Pack #3795 for Redeemer Lutheran Church, Hartford and was the life of the church leadership and children's Sunday school education. She enjoyed Trivia League with her team "The Graduate's" including her friends and family. Becky's greatest joy in life was nurturing children.

She is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Rich Carter; her cherished son, Tom Carter; her mother, Mildred Amberg (nee Lenski); beloved siblings; Bonnie (Don) Roscovius of Tomah, WI, Barb (Bob) Medinger of Sitka, Alaska, Mike (Vicki) Amberg of LaValle,WI, Joe (Becky) Amberg of Tomah,WI, Keith (Kim) Amberg of Bremerton, WA; Lori (Peter) Williams of Wisconsin Dells, and Steve (Deb) Selchow of Wisconsin Dells; siblings-in-law, Linda (Jerry) Hanson of Waukesha, WI and David Carter of Wauwatosa, WI; many dear aunts and uncles; nieces and nephews, Jesse, Kate, Mandy, Marsha, Lara, Kathryn, Allyson, Danny, Nick, Mason, Courtney, Ezra, and Jessie, and Bob; great nieces and nephews; other treasured relatives and friends.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Dale (Shirley) Amberg and Dotti Amberg; her sister, Patricia Amberg; her parents-in-law, Nick and Virginia Carter; and her special pet, "Buddy."

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 7:00p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, (255 W. Lincoln Ave– Hartford.) with Pastor Marcia Carrier officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the church. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Becky's name to Redeemer Lutheran Church for the enhancement of the Sunday School and Youth Ministry appreciated.
