Mark Alan Darcy of Corvallis passed from this life into the loving arms of Jesus on Feb. 15, 2014, at the age of 64.

Mark was born on Jan. 10, 1950, in Long Island, N.Y. He was the second of five children born to Arthur and Adele Darcy. Mark's family moved west to California when Mark was 8 years old, and settled in Saratoga, Calif.

After high school graduation, Mark enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served a tour of duty in Vietnam. Shortly after, he began his 30-year career with Hewlett-Packard Co. That is where he met Pamela, who became his wife. Mark and Pamela had their first child, Sabra, in 1976, and relocated to Oregon to work for Hewlett-Packard in Corvallis. Mark's son, Cade, was born in 1979.

Mark was a dearly loved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, papa and friend. Mark is survived by his wife, Pamela; daughters Sabra and Tamara; son Cade and daughter-in-law Rachel; brothers Guy Darcy and Drew Darcy; sisters Barbara Hibler and Gayle Palys; grandchildren Destiny, Ebony, Madison, Isaiah, Elijah and Levi; as well as numerous beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

Some of Mark's favorite things were taking road trips to see family, attending Oregon State University Beaver games, playing guitar and going to Disneyland. Mark was a born-again Christian and his unwavering faith carried him through a number of years of ill health. He always will be remembered for his quick wit, great sense of humor and belly laugh, as well as his giving heart.

There was nothing that Mark loved more than his family, especially his grandchildren. All will cherish Mark's presence in their lives, and he will be greatly missed.
