Richard LeRoy was born in 1927 in Somerville, Massachusetts to Harris and Sarah LeRoy. He was preceded in death by 7 siblings and 3 grandchildren. Richard served in the United States Naval Air Corp from 1944-1946. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1949 with a major in political science. Richard began his career as an insurance underwriter, owned his own agency and was also was a stock broker. He was a member of the Mensa Society. In his free time, he enjoyed writing poetry, Volksmarching, biking, and a game of scrabble.
