Sally "Sarah" A. Bradley, 76, Toledo, OH passed from this world peacefully in her home on Sunday, February 23, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 4, 1937 in Cleveland, OH to James V. and Flora J. (DellaBona) Carnes. Sally was a graduate of Woodward High School. She married Don, the love of her life on June 11, 1955. Sally and Don loved to dance; people would gather around them at family weddings just to watch them jitterbug. She loved music and playing piano brought her great joy. She was an avid reader who enjoyed the library. Crossword puzzles were a daily activity. Flower gardening, crocheting and needlepoint were other hobbies she enjoyed. However, her greatest joy in life was her granddaughter, Dylan. Surviving are her loving husband of 58 years, Don; loving daughter, Kerry A. Bradley Kamalay; granddaughter, Dylan; sisters, Jeanne (Claude) McNeeley, Nancy (Dean) Edelman, and Verna Rose; brother, James (Judi) Carnes; many nieces and nephews; best friend and neighbor for over 50 years, Jackie Sorge and her devoted Yorkie, 'Buddy' . Precededing her in death were her parents, sister and brother-in-law, Joanne (Art) Sawyer; brother, Patrick Carnes, and brother-in-law, Jack Rose. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 1-7 pm at David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., Toledo, OH 43611 with funeral services being held that same evening at 7 pm with Pastor Jon Komperda officiating. Interment is private and will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
