Jacqueline "Jackie" Devon Lyons, 58, of Roanoke passed away Friday, May 6, 2005. She was born in Roanoke to Faustine Jones and the late Herman "Jack" McGeorge. Jacqueline was preceded in death by her husbands, Calvin Johnson and Rev. George Lyons; stepfather, Lewis C. Jones. She was a long time employee of Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home. Jacqueline is survived by her mother, Faustine Jones; two sons, C. Maurice Johnson, of Roanoke and Robert (Gloria) Johnson, Master Sergeant of Woodbridge,VA; one daughter, Venita G. Jones; one brother, Ronnie (Sherrie) Jones; two sisters, Sharon Paschall and Darlene Bannister all of Roanoke; grandchildren, Shawn Johnson of Louisville, KY, Shaunita Johnson of Roanoke, Robert Johnson, Jr, and Gregory Johnson both of Woodbridge, VA; three great grandchildren Takiyah Johnson, of Roanoke, Kevin Johnson, Louisville, KY, Jalen Cook of Roanoke; a special god son, Joseph Cook of Roanoke and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at Pilgrim Baptist Church with Elder Delmar Jackson officiating. The interment will be in Williams Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Friends may call on Tuesday for viewing at Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
