West DECATUR Doris Lorraine West, 85 of Decatur died 8:05 p.m. Tuesday (May 25, 2010) in St. John's Hospital Springfield, LL. Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday (May 28th) with viewing at Doris West Macon County Memorial Park just before the service. Tanzyus-Logan Funeral Service and Care is in charge of arrangements. Doris was born February 13, 1925 in Decatur daughter of Charles W. and Leatha F. (Edwards) Murray. She worked as a waitress at the Shore Restaurant and Shafer's Bowl, and in food service with Aramark for the public schools. Doris and Richard West were married April 11, 1942 at the Old Folks Home with Rev Summers officiating. Richard preceded her in death December 5, 1988. Surviving are her daughters, Nancy Cummins (Carl Gene), Judy Payne and friend Thomas Riley, Barbara Davies (Win), Debra Brennan (Roy), Tina Faye all of Decatur, Brenna Morgan (Donald) of Panama City Beach, FL., brother, Charles Murray (Loretta) of Decatur, 25 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 12 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter Patricia Lynn Young, 2 brothers, 1 sister, grandchildren Little Joe Hauck and Crystal Leann Payne. Doris was a wonderful mother, and grandma and will be deeply missed. The family wishes to thank the Doctors and Nurses at St. John's Hospital also Dr's William Franklin and Mohammad Hasnain and the Card Playing Group at Spring Creek Tower.
