Born May 13, 1937 in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Robert Warfield and Edna Katherine (Phebus) Wallace. Roberta loved being a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was a long time member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles of Frederick. Roberta had a love of art, spending time drawing and sketching.
Roberta is survived by her daughter Bonnie Jeanne Frushour and husband Paul; her son, Carlton Bruce Cole; her life companion, Ralph F. Wiles; aunt, Katherine E. Lake; grandsons, Meredith W. Cole III and wife Jennifer, and Cory D. Cole; and great grandsons, Bradley and Shayne Cole.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, David M. Cole and Meredith W. Cole Jr. and one brother, George H. Wallace.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 28, 2014 at 11 am at the Evangelical Lutheran Church, 35 East Church Street, Frederick. Reverend Robert Driver-Bishop will officiate. Interment will be private at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in Roberta's memory to the Evangelical Lutheran Church.
