Jerry David Forrest, 65, died on February 20, 2014 at his home. He was born in Talladega, Alabama on March 9, 1948, the son of James and Virginia Forrest. He graduated from Talladega High School in 1966 and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. After his military service, he worked for the Coca-Cola Bottling Company for several years before entering college. He attended Jacksonville State University where he earned his degree in education. He was a teacher and coach at Talladega County Central High School, Winterboro High School and Saint Clair County High School. He also served as a volunteer coach at The Donoho School in Anniston. He was preceded in death by his parents, and grandparents, Floyd and Irene Hydrick and Minnie Forrest. He is survived by his wife, two sons, two grandsons, a brother, two sisters, and several aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins.
