Charlie Estel Ousley , Sr., 64, of Allisonia, finally received his day of rest on September 17, 2006. He fought a very courageous battle with cancer for a little over a year and finally went on to join the angel band in heaven where he is sure to be enjoying the bluegrass music and catching fish in Heaven's golden ponds. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Cleveland Ousley ; his mother, Clara Belle Ousley ; and one sister, Clara Mae Ousley Parsons. Funeral services will be Wednesday, September 20, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Michael Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Allison Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday night at the funeral home.
